Cross Program Opportunities

FIN Community Showcase Pitch Competition Sponsored by InnovateWithIN

Submission Deadline May 4th, 5PM Eastern

We are excited to announce an opportunity for all teams to take part in a pitch competition.  Take your innovation challenge ideas and pitch them to our judges for a chance at some cash prizes. FLL, FTC, and FRC teams are invited to take part in this great opportunity!

Teams will submit a one-page business plan executive summary and a short video explaining their idea.

The video is NOT part of the judging process.  It is simply to explain your proposal a bit prior to the judges seeing your pitch.

Then, on May 12th, teams will be assigned a judging session on Zoom.  A team of up to 3 students will do a 5 minute “Shark Tank” style pitch, and a 5 minute Q&A will follow.

Judges will convene, and then we will announce the top 3 teams.

  • 1st Prize $1500
  • 2nd Prize $1000
  • 3rd Prize $500

The prize money is unrestricted and will be sent to your team by check.  Use the money next year for registration, buy really cool stuff from AndyMark, start an FLL or FTC team for your pipeline growth, it’s up to you!

Complete this form to enter your team.  You do NOT have to have competed in the Innovation Challenge with FIRST to take part in this.  All teams are eligible!

We would like applications in by May 15th.  Thank you.

We have some upcoming end-of-season requests, deadlines, etc. for our FRC community.

Using the buttons above, please complete the FRC team survey. (27 / 58 have completed as of today 4-29-21)  If we can get these by May 15th, we would appreciate it.  We will call teams that haven’t completed the survey in order to get at the crucial data we need to inform our sponsors of their impact. Make sure to only have one mentor from each team complete the survey.  Thank you!

Please share the student impact survey link with your students. https://bit.ly/2021FINStudentSurvey

We also need your input on offseason events, that we have learned can begin as soon as July 1st.  In order to best serve our Indiana teams, we need to know if your team can participate, what restrictions you may have, etc.
