2021 FIN Community Showcase

May 6th through 13th!

Join teams across the FIRST Indiana Robotics Community to compete, learn, collaborate, and engage. Meet with colleges and universities, tour sponsor companies, participate in the Pitch Competition, and attend the end-of-season FIN Award Event!

May 7th and 8th – FRC “competition” – Register your team, and you will get a dedicated “pit” in the SignalWire platform.  No submissions are necessary.  Judges will visit your “pit” and talk to your team, and you will share with them all the great things you’ve been doing.  Then there will be an awards ceremony.

Categories will include (not limited to) – Safety, Entrepreneurship, Community Service, and more.  No submissions are necessary.  Everything you’ve been doing over the last year or more has prepared your team for this!

FIN Community Showcase Pitch Competition Sponsored by InnovateWithIN

We are excited to announce an opportunity for all teams to take part in a pitch competition.  Take your innovation challenge ideas and pitch them to our judges for a chance at some cash prizes.

Teams will submit a one-page business plan executive summary and a 2-3 minute video explaining their idea.

Then, on May 11th, teams will be assigned a judging session on our SignalWire platform.  A team of up to 3 students will do a 5 minute “Shark Tank” style pitch, and a 5 minute Q&A will follow.

Judges will convene, and then we will announce the top 3 teams.

  • 1st Prize $1500
  • 2nd Prize $1000
  • 3rd Prize $500

Complete this form to enter your team.  You do NOT have to have competed in the Innovation Challenge with FIRST to take part in this.  All teams are eligible!

FTC – FRC Swag Exchange

The FIRST Indiana Robotics Student Board of Directors is putting on a  team Swag Swap!

We need a mentor from each team that wants to participate to fill out this google form.

The way it works is to fill out the form, and then the student board will email you who your “secret swag” team is.  You will then put together a swag package together and ship it to them.  You will receive a swag package from another team.

FRC and FTC teams are encouraged to take part in this fun activity to connect with other teams around the state!

Email Chris Osborne – cosborne@firstindianarobotics.org if you have any questions.

This could be as simple as filling up a small or medium box or envelope with buttons, stickers, wristbands, personal messages, or even fun snacks to let another team know you miss seeing them at competitions and are wishing them well.

FTC League Tournaments and State Championship are Scheduled
